Alfredo Aguilar is the son of Mexican immigrants. He is the author of the chapbooks Recuerdo (YesYes Books forthcoming) & What Happens On Earth (BOAAT Press forthcoming). He has received fellowships from VONA & the Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Adroit Journal, Vinyl, Best New Poets 2017, & elsewhere. He lives in North County San Diego.

Jessica Fjeld is the author of Redwork (BOAAT Press, 2018), which was selected by Dean Young as the winner of the 2017 BOAAT Book Prize, and the chapbooks The Tide (Pilot Books, 2010) and On animate life (Poetry Society of America, 2006), for which she received the PSA's Chapbook Fellowship. In 2015, she was awarded a "Discovery" Poetry Prize by the 92Y Unterberg Poetry Center and the Boston Review. Her poems have appeared in Conduit, H_NGM_N, iO, jubilat, Poetry, Sixth Finch, and elsewhere. A graduate of the UMass-Amherst MFA program for Poets & Writers and Columbia Law School, she lives in Boston with her family, where she works as a lawyer and teacher.
