Austin Smith's first poetry collection, Almanac, was chosen by Paul Muldoon for the Princeton Series of Contemporary Poets. His poems have appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry Magazine, Yale Review, Sewanee Review, Ploughshares, and New England Review, amongst others. He is currently a Jones Lecturer in fiction at Stanford University and lives in San Francisco.
