Michael Lee is a Norwegian American writer, performer and educator. He has received grants and scholarships from the Bread Loaf Writers Conference, Minnesota State Arts Board, the LOFT Literary Center, and the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council. Author of the chapbook “Secondly. Finally” (Organic Weapon Arts), which won the David Blair Memorial Prize, Michael's work has appeared in Hayden’s Ferry Review, Ninth Letter, and Copper Nickel among other journals. Michael has worked as a dishwasher, a farm hand, a youth counselor, a teaching artist, a traveling performer, and an arts programming coordinator for youth experiencing homelessness. He lives in Minneapolis.
