Oliver Baez Bendorf is a queer and trans poet, cartoonist, librarian and activist, and the author of The Spectral Wilderness (Kent State U., 2015). He has received poetry fellowships from Lambda Literary Foundation, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Vermont Studio Center. Born and raised in Iowa, he lives most recently on the road in a teardrop trailer. He is the 2017-2018 Halls Emerging Artist Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, and is working on a book of poems about rivers, grief, and togetherness.
